Objective:To analyze the changes in pulmonary function test in patients with acute pancreatitis(AP)
and to explore its clinical significance. Methods: This study included 82 patients with AP and 80 healthy controls from January 2007 to June 2009 in our hospital. All participants were evaluated with pulmonary function test. Results: The FVC
FEVI
FEVI/FVC
MVV
which determine pulmonary ventilation function
were similar in the two groups(P>0.05). The DLCO
DLCO/VA
FEF25
FEF50
FEF75
which determines pulmonary gas exchange
revealed a statistically significant decline in patients with AP(P<0.05). DLCO
DLCO/VA
FEF25
FEF50
FEF75
negatively correlated with Ranson’s criteria(P<0.05)
as well as APACHE Ⅱ score. And DLCO
DLCO/VA
FEF25
FEF50
FEF75 showed differences between lung injury and non lung injury in patients with AP(P <0.05). The OR for DLCO affected lung injury was 0.755
95% CI was 0.689~0.821. Conclusion: Patients with AP have some degree of dysfunction in gas exchange
which related to the severity of AP; and pulmonary function tests may give additional prognostic information in patients with AP.
