Objective:To investigate the clinicopathological features of malignant renal angiomyolipoma
to raise awareness of the disease. Methods:The malignant renal angiomyolipoma specimens collected by the pathology departments of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were analyzed. The specimens were under HE staining
light microscopy observation and immunohis tochemistry(SP method) staining. The information of clinical diagnosis and treatment were reviewed. Results:The characteristic histological patterns of the tumor was that epithelial cells
smooth muscle cells and fat cells appears in different proportion
thick-walled blood vessels could be seen
the mitosis was obvious
especially the pathological ones.Immunohistochemistry showed that epithelioid and smooth muscle cells characteristictly expresse HMB-45、EMA、Actin
and so on.Conclusion:B-ultrasonagraphy
CT
MRI is an important methods in the diagnosis of malignant renal angiomyolipoma
detailed family history and physical examination to be able to provide us with important clues to the diagnosis and pathological characteristics combined with immunohistochemistry is important in the final confirmation of the tumor.
