Objective:To discuss the clinical value of nursing and its influence on success rate of coronary arteriography by 16-slice spiral CT.Methods:68 patients with confirmed or suspected coronary heart diseases underwent 16-slice spiral CT coronary arteriography. The nursing records of them were analyzed retrospectively. The effective psychological intervention was performed before the examinations to avoid anxiety
tension and horror of the patients
and achieve the stable and reduced heart rate.Breath holding and respiration were claimed and trained repeatedly till patients mastered.Results:1 patient failed due to the degraded images for unsatisfied breath holding and needed reexamination;1 failed case was caused by fast heart rate(>65/min) even though beta-blocker(Betaloc)were administered orally or intravenously. The heart rate of the other patients satisfied the scanning requirements(heart rate ≤65/min) after the psychological nursing and/or medicating(25~50 mg Betaloc orally)
and scanning was performed successfully.Contrast media were administered successfully at one time without extravasation and allergy. Conclusion:Good nursing is a primary for successful 16-slice spiral CT coronary arteriography.
