Assessment of right ventricular function in patients with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction before and after percutaneous coronary intervention by two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging[J]. Journal of Clinical Ultrasound in Medicine, 2023,25(8).DOI:
Objective: To assess right ventricular (RV) function of patients with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction before and after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) by two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging(2D-STI). Methods: Totally 36 patients with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction underwent successful PCI were included in case group
40 patients without coronary angiography were included in the control group
the two-dimensional strain parameters of right ventricle before PCI、1month after PCI and the control group were observed. Results: The absolute of left ventricular ejection、the right ventricular global longitudinal strain 、 the right ventricular(free-wall basal and med)radial strain、septum(apical and med)radial strain、the free-wall med and apical longitudinal strain of right ventricular、septum apical longitudinal strain、the free-wall med radial strain rate of right ventricular and septum apical radial strain rate increased gradually(all P<0.05). the parameters showed a trend of improvement compared with those one month after PCI. Conclusion: 2D-STI can quantitatively evaluate right ventricular function of patients with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction before and after PCI
there was a significant improvement of right ventricular function after PCI.
