Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of vacuumassisted resection in the treatment of benign breast masses. MethodsA retrospective analysis of 775 cases of benign space occupying lesions of breast treated in the department of general surgery of the fourth people′s hospital of Chongqing from November 2016 to April 2019 was carried out.All the patients were divided into two groups according to the operative method:327 cases in the control group received surgery through the periareolar incision
and 448 cases in the observation group were treated with vacuum assisted resection. The surgical indicators
postoperative adverse reactions
incision infection and complex conditions of the two groups were analyzed. Results The operation time and scar length of patients in the control group were longer than those in the observation group
and the operation cost was lower than those in the observation group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(t=40.789
-43.406
97.606
P<0.05).But there was no statistically significant difference in surgical bleeding volume between the two groups (t=1.090
P>0.05).Compared with the observation group
the postoperative hematoma
breast malformation and postoperative residual rate were higher in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant (χ2=30.933
44.487
13.749
P<0.05).The proportion of incision infection and recurrence in the control group was higher than those in the observation group
and the differences were statistically significant (χ2=21.152
18.037
P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of the control group was 56.57%
and the satisfaction rate of the observation group was 93.53%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ2=150.095
P<0.05).ConclusionVacuumassisted resection for patients with benign breast masses can reduce the time of surgery and postoperative adverse reactions
