Objective To observe the nursing effect of holistic intervention via the general nurse responsibility system in patients with choriocarcinoma. Methods A total of 85 patients with choriocarcinoma admitted to a hospital in Henan from June 2017 to June 2020 were selected as the subjects in the observation group. Another 71 patients with choriocarcinoma treated with routine nursing intervention in the same hospital under the same period were selected as the subjects in the control group. Psychological status

quality of life

nutritional level and compliance were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results After the intervention

the self-rating anxiety scale（SAS） and self-rating depression scale（SDS） scores in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention

with statistical significance（P<0.05）. The scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group（P<0.05）. After the intervention

self-care ability

attitude towards treatment

and cognitive score of the disease in the observation group were higher than those in the control group

with statistical significance（P<0.05）. After the intervention

the levels of hemoglobin（Hb）

and transferrin（TRF） in the observation group were higher than those in the control group

with statistical significance（P<0.05）. The compliance rate in the observation group was 94.12%

which was higher than that in the control group（77.46%）

with statistical significance（P<0.05）. Conclusion The nursing effect of holistic intervention via the general nurse responsibility system in patients with choriocarcinoma is established

which can alleviate the adverse emotions of patients and improve their quality of life and nutritional level. These advantages justify a wider application of this technique in clinical practice.
