Objective To explore the effect of refined management in the prevention and control of hospital infection in neonatal wards. Methods In this study
750 cases of neonates admitted to a hospital in Henan from January 2017 to June 2018 were selected as the conventional group
and 750 cases of neonates admitted to a hospital in Henan from July 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the observation group. The children in the conventional group were managed conventionally
and the children in the observation group were given fine management. The incidence of pneumonia
umbilical infection and thrush during the hospitalization of the children in the 2 groups was compared; the hygiene pass rates of the items in the neonatal wards of the 2 groups were compared; the satisfaction of the families of the neonates in the 2 groups was compared. Results The incidence of hospital infection in children in the observation group was 1.46%
which was lower than that of 6.27% in the conventional group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The hygiene pass rates of milk bottles
air
disinfectants
sterilized items and hands of the medical staff in the neonatal ward inspection of the observation group were higher than those of the conventional group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the families of children in the observation group was 97.87%
higher than that of 84.93% in the conventional group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Fine management applied to the prevention and control of hospital infection in neonatal wards can effectively reduce the incidence of hospital infection
improve the hygiene pass rate of neonatal ward items and the satisfaction of children’s families
and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
