Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of plasma β-thromboglobulin(β-TG)
platelet factor 4(PF4) and peripheral S-100 B in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods One hundred and two patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to a hospital in Henan Province from September 2016 to September 2018 were selected as the observation group
and 88 healthy individuals who had health checkups at the hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. β-TG
PF4 and peripheral S-100 B protein expression levels of the 2 study groups and β-TG
PF4 and peripheral S-100 B levels of the patients in the observation group at different periods were compared. The relationship between β-TG
PF4 and peripheral S-100 B levels and the prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction and the risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction were analyzed. Results β-TG
PF4 and S-100 B expression levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group
and the differences were all statistically significant(P
<
0.05). In the acute phase of cerebral infarction
the expression levels of β-TG
PF4 and S-100 B were higher than those in the recovery phase
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). The median survival time of those with high expression levels of β-TG
PF4 and S-100 B was shorter than those with low expression levels
and the differences were statistically significant(χ
2
=7.992
21.160
4.682
all P
<
0.05). COX regression analysis showed that combined hypertension
high NIHSS score
high level of β-TG
high level of PF4
high level of S-100 B
and poor degree of collateral circulation compensation were the risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction(P
<
0.05). Conclusion The expression levels of β-TG
PF4 and S-100 B in the peripheral blood of patients with acute cerebral infarction were significantly higher than those of healthy subjects. β-TG
PF4 and S-100 B are involved in the process of thrombosis
