Health poverty reduction is an important part of the task of precise poverty reduction

an inherent requirement for promoting the development of a healthy China

and a necessary condition for the success and sustainability of the enterprise of poverty reduction.At this point

remarkable results have been achieved in health poverty reduction

but several problems are also exposed.In this context

the present study puts medical social workers as one of the diversified subjects of health poverty reduction

and

taking advantage of the people-oriented nature of social workers

considers how to improve the effect of health poverty reduction from the demand side

that is

from the perspective of the ailing poor households.Besides

this study adopts the perspective of the social support network theory to further explore how social workers can intervene in marginalized poor households facing economic and health risks and build an effective social support network

so as to improve the health of the poor households scientifically

comprehensively and sustainably

and make a certain contribution to the development of a health China.
