Objective To investigate the application value of color doppler echocardiography in the intervention closure of atrial septal defect（ASD）.Methods From January 2015 to July 2016

a total of 70 cases of children with ASD in a hospital of Zhengzhou were selected as the research objects and divided into the research group and the control group with the random number table method

each group of 35 cases.Children in the control group had intervention closure for ASD guided with X-ray combined with ordinary two-dimensional ultrasound

while the research group with ASD had the intervention closure under the guidance of color doppler ultrasound.Operation duration

postoperative residual shunt rate

success rate of closure for atrial septum 1month and 6months after the operation and postoperative complications of 2groups were compared.Results The operation duration

hospital stay of research group were（73.16±8.93）min and（10.29±2.71）d respectively

shorter than the control group（79.57±9.31）min and（12.51±3.26）d

and the differences were statistically significant（P <0.05）.The postoperative residual shunt rate of the research group was 0.0%

which was lower than the control group（17.1%）

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.The success rate of closure for atrial septum of research group（94.3%）was higher than that of control group（77.1%）

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.The success rates of closure for atrial septum of 2groups were 100.0% and there was no statistically significant difference between the 2groups（P>0.05）.The incidence of postoperative complications of research group was 2.9%

which was lower than that of the control group（22.9%）

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion Treating ASD with intervention closure under the guidance of color doppler ultrasound could recluce the operation duration and hospital stay

lower postoperative residual shunt rate and incidence of postoperative complications

also increase the success rate of closure for atrial septum completely 1month after the operation

which is extremely effective and worthy of clinical popularization and application.
