Objective To study the health status of students from key middle school in Guangxi province and provide basis for common diseases prevention and control work among students.Methods All the students of this middle school from Guangxi province during 2013-2015 were selected as research objects and after physical examination their data was analyzed statistically.Results The detection rate of poor sight of objects was83.82%

and rate of overweight was 14.40%

and the detection rates of obesity and malnutrition were 7.93%and 6.03% separately.There was no significant difference between each grade in rate of overweight or malnutrition（P>0.05）

while the difference between rate of poor sight and obesity was statistically significant（P<0.01）.The detection rate of poor sight in male students was lower than that of female students

however

the rates of overweight

obesity and malnutrition among male students were higher than female students

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.01）.Conclusion The problems of eyesight in the key middles school is serious and their nutrition status needs to be improved.The school should take measures to prevent and control the poor sight
