Objective To observe the clinical effect of the injection of sodium hyaluronate into knee articular cavity together with ultrashort wave physiotherapy and rehabilitation training in treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis（KOA）.Method To select 50 cases of KOA patients having been hospitalized and treated at the People′s Hospital of Qijiang District

Chongqing from October 2012 to October 2013

and divide them at random into the observation group and the comparison group

each containing 25 patients.The patients of the both groups are given the treatment of the injection of sodium hyaluronate into knee articular cavity together with ultrashort wave therapy

while the observation group also receives rehabilitation training.Evaluations on the clinical effects of the treatment of the two groups are conducted one month and one year in the aftermath of the treatment respectively.Results One month after the treatment

the overall effective rate of the observation group reached 96.00%

while the same rate of the comparison group was 92.00%.The differences between the two were not statistically significant.One year after the treatment

the overall effective rate of the observation group was 88.00%

and the same rate of the comparison group was 64.00%.The comparative differences of the two had statistical significance（P<0.05）.Before treatment

the differences between the two groups in terms of VAS scores were not statistically significant.One month after the treatment

the VAS scores of both groups were markedly lower than their scores before treatment

and the comparative differences for both groups were statistically significant（P<0.01）

while the differences between the two groups were statistically insignificant.One year after the treatment

the differences in VAS scores between the two groups became to have statistical significance（P<0.01）.Conclusion Treating KOA by the injection of sodium hyaluronate into knee articular cavity together with ultrashort wave physiotherapy and rehabilitation training has a fairly good long term curative effect.
