CHEN Ai-dong. Efficacy of Octreotide and Omeprazole on Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding[J]. Health Medicine Research and Practice, 2014,11(4):38-39.DOI:
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of octreotide and omeprazole on upper gastrointestinal bleeding.Method 372 cases of patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding were randomly divided into observation group and control group
186 cases in each group.Patients in the observation group were given octreotide and omeprazole and those in the control group were given omeprazole alone. The effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 99.5%
significantly higher than that of the control group(87.6%)
the difference in two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of octreotide and omeprazole on upper gastrointestinal bleeding is effective and it is worthy of clinical application.
