Objective To observe the effect of comfort care on the infantile severe pneumonia.Method Divide40 patients of infantile severe pneumonia into the comparison group and observation group at random.Conventional care was given to the former

while the comfort care was applied to the latter.Compare and observe the curative effect

rates of complications

and the degree of satisfaction to the medical care by the parents of the patients of the two groups.Results The overall effective rate of the observation group amounted to 90.0%through regular treatment and comfort care

higher than that of the comparison group which was 70.0%.The differences of the two were statistically significant（P<0.05）.The number for the average hospital duration of the observation group was（6.9±1.2）d

and the same number for the comparison group was（8.7±1.5）d.The rate of parental satisfaction was 100.0%for the observation group

and60.0%for the comparison group.The observation group saw no occurrence of complications

while the comparison group had 15.0%complications.The differences through comparison of the two groups were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion Adopting comfort care on cases of infantile severe pneumonia can markedly improve the curative effect and facilitate an earlier recovery of patients from this disease.
