Objective To discuss the state of academic commitment of students of normal universities from the perspective of active psychology and propose corresponding suggestions and measures.Method To adopt questionnaires to investigate the state of academic commitment of 300normal school students of different genders

and geographic origins.Results The commitment of today’s normal school students to academic studies is moderate

and their total scores and scores on the three dimensions regarding academic commitment saw little differences in genders

while the same scores on the dimension of devotion were markedly different（F=3.412

P<0.05）which witnessed a highest level of devotion among the senior year students who scored markedly higher than students of the freshman and sophomore years.Conclusion In light of the present state of the academic commitment of normal university students

school authorities ought to reinforce their guiding role to strengthen the resilience of the characters of the students

and help them cultivate righteous values so as to raise their level of passion for academic commitment.
