Objective To make an early discovery of potential cardiovascular diseases
and to provide a basis for good health care for faculty members and timely prevention of cardiovascular diseases.Method The commonly appeared abnormal electrocardiograms of the faculty members in Southwest Jiaotong University

and there was an increasing tendency year by year.Among all abnormal electrocardiograms
the most common abnormality was the ST-T change;others were bundle branch conduction block
premature heartbeat
degree type one atrioventricular conduction block etc. Conclusion The detected abnormality in electrocardiograms of faculty members should not be neglected
health examination should be carried out regularly to make early discoveries of the abnormality of electrocardiograms and then give timely treatments
which is of great significance in preventing cardiovascular diseases.
