Objective To explore operative effects and differences of olecranon osteotomy approach and triceps tongue-shaped flap approach to comminuted intercondylar fracture of humerus.Method 49 cases of patients with comminuted intercondylar fracture of humerus were divided into 2 groups

27 cases in olecranon osteotomy approach group and 22 cases in triceps tongue-shaped flap approach group.Analysis The excellent rates of the recovery of elbow joint mobility in 3 months after operation of the two groups were analyzed.Results The excellent rate of the group with olecranon osteotomy approach was 92.5% and the group with triceps tongue-shaped flap approach 68.2%

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion In treating comminuted intercondylar fracture of humerus

olecranon osteotomy operative approach has a higher rate in the recovery of elbow joint mobility than that of triceps tongue-shaped flap operative approach.
