Objective To investigate the health condition of middle-aged teachers and staff in college

in order to provide a scientific basis for implementation of preventive and cure countermeasures.Method The health checkup results among 254 middle-aged teachers and staff were collected and analyzed.Results The diseases detection rate is 60.63% among middle-aged teachers and staff

and it is increasing with age;the diseases detection rate of male is 65.4%

and of the female is 49.33%

the former higher than the latter

and the difference is statistically significant（P<0.05）.The top five diseases are adiposis hepatica

hyperlipidemia

cholecystitis

calculus of kidney

and hypertension.Conclusion The middle-aged teachers and staff who have nutritional and metabolic diseases or other related diseases are younger and younger.Non-communicable chronic diseases（NCD） are the key point in diseases prevention.
