Objective To know college students’ health knowledge and their behavior so as to provide accurate information for the Ministry of Education to revise the guideline on health education of college students.Method Questionnaires about health knowledge were distributed to 200 randomly selected college students.190 valid questionnaires were received and analysed.Results The average awareness rates of the eight-point AIDS knowledge

of the five infectious diseases

of accidents and first aid knowledge

and of medication safety knowledge are respectively 80.7%

62.9%

69.2% and 76.8%.Nearly half of the college students have unhealthy lifestyle.29.5% of their health knowledge comes from their school health education.Conclusion College students’ health knowledge is insufficient

and particularly their knowledge of emergency and hedge

safe use of medicine is still quite poor.A good many students have bad habits.So it is proposed that college students’ health education be strengthened and be the focus of the health education in colleges and universities.
