Objective To learn the situation of dyslipidemia and related diseases of college staff

and the influences of lifestyle and genetic factors upon the diseases.Method 396 staff members were examined for blood pressure

electrocardiogram

blood glucose

blood lipids

and abdominal B-ultrasound

and those who have lipid disorders and related diseases received a questionaire survey.Results The detection rate of male dyslipidemia and related diseases is 53.6%

which is higher than female detection rate of 27.0% （P<0.01）;The difference of detection of dyslipidemia and related diseases among different age groups are statistically significant（P<0.05 or P<0.01）

With the growth of age

the rate of dyslipidemia and related diseases was rising.Smoking

drinking

high-fat diets

high-salt diets

less activities are the main living babits that contribute to dyslipidemia and related diseases.Conclusion The detection of dyslipidemia and related diseases of college staff should be paid attention to.The staff’s lifestyle （especially male staff’s） should be interposed.
