Objective To observe the clinical effect of curing the diabetic foot with tetramethylpyra-zine（TMP）.Method Fifty-four patients are randomly divided into two groups

one as the clinical observation group

receiving injection of the tetramethylpyra-zine injection with intravenous drip

and the other as clinical comparison group

receiving injection of the Fufang Danshen injection with intravenous drip.Both groups are cured for four weeks

then the curative effect of them are compared.Results Effectivity rate in the clinical observation group was 70.4%

while in the clinical comparison group 48.1%.Operative time（6±1.2）d vs（10±1.0）d.The differences were significant（P<0.05）.There were no adverse reaction in two groups.Conclusion It is safe and available to cure the diabetic foot with the tetramethylpyra-zine injection and its curative effect is better than the Fufang Danshen injection.
