Objective To implore how to improve technique of intravenous transfusion（IV）. Method We investigated 630 times IV among 60 hospitalized patients

and analyzed the collected data. Results The style of puncture and fix are the main factors related to the failure of IV

which is account for 11.1 %. The hemorrhage or hematoma after IV happened 70 times

which is account for 11.1 %. Among these cases

6.5 % hemorrhage cases happened in 5 minutes

and 4.6 % more than 5 minutes; There are more patients over 50 with the hemorrhage happened than the patients younger. Conclusion It is important for improving IV technique to give patients proper nursing intervention

such as choosing the vessel carefully

fixing local skin properly

pressing correctly.
