With the widespread use of carbapenem antibiotics，carbapenem resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae（CRKP）has become an "urgent" global public health priority. CRKP infections are associated with high mortality and CRKP is an important pathogen of nosocomial infections. The main drug resistance mechanism of CRKP is the production of carbapenemase，and the effective antibiotics available in clinic are limited. At present，some new antibiotics show high activity and safety against CRKP. In this paper，the mechanism of drug resistance and new antimicrobial agents of CRKP were reviewed for clinical reference.
