Sacroiliac joint dislocation is an unstable pelvic ring injury. The complex anatomy surrounding the joint and the pres⁃ ence of sacral deformity make surgery more challenging. As research progresses，many emerging techniques are used in the surgical management of sacroiliac joint dislocation，but no systematic accepted treatment protocol has been proposed. Moreover，many surgical approaches are used for fixation，so it is essential to understand the extent of anatomy that can be revealed and the possible complica⁃ tions associated with different surgical approaches. This article aimed to provide a strategy for selecting the best surgical approach based on the classification of sacroiliac jiont dislocation，the extent of exposure，and indications for each approach. Furthermore，it summarized methods to minimize complications and maximize patient safety.
