The high morbidity and mortality of gastrointestinal tumor has become a serious problem. Meanwhile，the risk factors and mechanisms of gastrointestinal tumors are still unclear，which is worth further study. Early diagnosis of gastrointestinal tumors is still a difficult problem to be solved in clinic. The earlier diagnosis and treatment is very important in order to get a good prognosis for these patients of gastrointestinal tumor. High resolution endoscopic examination with magnifying and dying method can diagnose early gastrointestinal tumors. Early pancreatic cancer can be diagnosed by EUS-FNA method. EMR and ESD can completely remove early gastrointestinal tumors and achieve curative effect. The new era of endoscopic super-micro- invasive technology of digestive endoscopy is coming. This article reviews the early diagnosis and treatment strategies of gostrointestinal tumor for clinical reference.
