Correlation between early mobilization and recovery quality in postoperative patients with colorectal cancer
Objective To explore the correlation between early mobilization and recovery quality in patients with colorectal cancer after laparoscopic surgery,so as to provide evidence-based medical basis for the formulation of early mobilization program after colorectal cancer surgery. Methods A total of 120 patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer in the Department of Gastrointestinal surgery in a third-class general hospital in Sichuan Province from January to December in 2019 were selected. According to whether the patients got out of bed within 24 hours after operation, those who got out of bed within 24 hours after operation were divided into group A,and those who did not were included in group B. The activity volume at 3 days after operation,15-item quality of recovery (QOR-15 ) score on the 3rd day after operation, first exhaust time and visual analogue scale (VAS ) score were compared between the two groups. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the activity volume at 3 days after operation and the first exhaust time,QOR-15 score and scores of various dimensions. Results There were significant differences in postoperative QOR-15 score, postoperative activity volume at 3 days, first exhaust time and VAS score between the two groups(P < 0.05),and correlation analysis showed that postoperative activity was positively correlated with QOR-15 score(P < 0.05),positively correlated with QOR-15 score in all dimensions(P < 0.05) ,and moderately negatively correlated with first exhaust score(P < 0.05). Conclusion The early recovery quality of postoperative patients with colorectal cancer was related to the early mobilization after operation. The increase of activities 3 days after operation could better the quality of early recovery ,and the early postoperative mobilization might help to improve the quality of early recovery after operation. However,it is still necessary to expand the sample size and conduct in-depth research to establish a causal relationship.
