Objective To explore the advantages of complete uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy. Methods The segmentectomy of S9+10 in the inferior lobe of the left lung was used as an example to introduce its anatomical characteristics， surgical methods， and surgical techniques; the advantages and disadvantages of various surgical methods were compared; personal experience of the surgery was shared; the advantages of complete uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy were summarized. Results Although complete uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy was more demanding on surgeons， it did not differ too much from conventional triportal surgery in terms of difficulty in operation after a period of learning. Complete uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy had its advantages and would be more widely used in the surgical treatment of patients with stage I peripheral non-small cell lung cancer in the future. Conclusion Complete uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy deserves to be widely promoted in clinical practice due to its easiness to master after training and minor surgical trauma.
