Research advances in heat shock 70-kDa protein 6 (HSPA6)
Heat shock 70-kDa protein 6 (HSPA6) belongs to the HSP70 family and is a partially conserved inducible 70-kD protein in mammals. The HSPA6 gene locates in the human chromosome 1q23.3 and contains two important structural domains: the N-terminal nucleotide-binding domain (NBD) and the C-terminal substrate-bind⁃ing domain (SBD). At present
studies have found that HSPA6 both inhibits and promotes the development and pro⁃gression of tumors; meanwhile
it also plays a variety of important roles in the pathogenesis of non-tumor diseases. HSPA6 is becoming a hot spot of research
but its mechanism of action is still unclear. This article reviews the struc⁃ture
expression
and function of HSPA6 protein
the research advances in the role of HSPA6 protein in tumor
and its possible mechanism of action and prospect.
