Influence of automatic breast volume scanner on hormone expression level and its evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy effect
Objective To investigate the effect of automatic breast volume scanner(ABVS)on hormone expressionlevel
and to analyze its evaluation value of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer.MethodsA total of 506 breast cancerpatients admitted to our hospital for preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy were selected for ABVS examination before and afterchemotherapy
the size of breast mass was measured
the signs of ABVS were recorded
and the expressions of ER
PR and HER-2 were detected by postoperative immunohistochemistry.According to the efficacy of chemotherapy
patients were divided into theeffective group and the non-effective group
and the differences in the size of breast mass between the two groups before and afterchemotherapy
as well as the differences in the signs of ABVS in patients with different ER
PR and HER-2 expression levelswere compared.ResultsAmong the 506 patients
including 365 patients in the effective group and 133 patients in the ineffective group. The length
width
thickness
area and volume of breastmass of 498 patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy were reduced compared with those before chemotherapy
and thedifferences were statistically significan(tall P<0.05).The length
width
thickness
area and volume of breast mass in the effectivegroup were reduced compared with those in the ineffective group
and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The detection rates of"burr sign"and"aggregation sign"in patients with positive ER and PR expressions were higher than thosewith negative ER and PR expressions(χ2"burr sign"=10.367
13.540
χ2"aggregation sign"=28.050
30.710
all P<0.05).The detection rate ofcalcification in patients with positive HER-2 expression was higher than that in patients with negative HER-2 expression(χ2=26.646
P<0.05).ConclusionThe hormone expression level has a certain effect on the ABVS image characteristics.ABVS canaccurately evaluate the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer and has good clinical application value.
