ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility of using the breast simulation phantom in the teaching ofstandardized training for resident doctors in ultrasound department.MethodsTwenty-one resident doctors who were trained inour hospital in December 2018 were selected as the experimental group（9 in grade 1

6 in grade 2

6 in grade 3）

and 8 refresherdoctors were selcted as the control group.The breast simulation phantom was applied on the standardized training for residentdoctors

the advanced theory and operation techniques were trained.The teaching effect was analyzed through the operation test

theoretical test

after-school questionnaire survey

etc.ResultsAfter the training

the theoretical test scores were 68.10±8.14 inthe experimental group

and 50.00±10.69 in the control group

there was statistically significant（P<0.05）.In the three grades ofthe experimental group

the theoretical and operational test scores were significantly increased on the day of training and a weeklater in the grade one（all P<0.05）

there were statistically significant differences in the results of the theoretical and operationaltests in the grade two（all P<0.05）.100% of the participants in the questionnaire believed that they benefited from the relevantstudy.ConclusionThe advantages of breast simulation phantom in the ultrasound standardized training for resident doctorsinclude that it is convenient for the doctors to understand the anatomical relationship during the teaching

and it is convenient forthe boys to practise the sensitive parts.The disadvantage is that the image and position of the lesion are fixed

which is not benifitfor the students in senior grade to improve the professional ability.
