Efficacy of Ornidazole Sodium Chloride Injection in the Treatment of Bronchial Asthma Complicated with Infection and Its Effects on Clearance Rate of Pathogenic Bacteria
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the efficacy of ornidazole sodium chloride injection in the treatment of bronchial asthma(BA) complicated with infection and its effects on clearance rate of pathogenic bacteria. METHODS: A total of 86 patients with BA complicated with infection admitted into this hospital from Jun. 2019 to Jun. 2021 were selected and divided into research group(43 cases) and control group(43 cases) via the random number table. The control group was treated with cefoperazone sodium tazobactam sodium
while the research group was given ornidazole sodium chloride injection based on the control group. The efficacy
symptom improvement
bacterial clearance rate and incidences of adverse drug reactions
pulmonary function [forced vital capacity(FVC)
forced expiratory volume in 1 s(FEV

)
proportion of peak expiratory flow accounted for its predicted value(PEF%) and maximum mid-expiratory flow(MMF)] and inflammatory factors levels [interleukin 4(IL-4)
interleukin 6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)]
before and after treatment were compared between two groups. RESULTS: The total effective rate and bacterial clearance rate of research group were respectively 95.35%(41/43) and 93.02%(40/43)
significantly higher than those of the control group(79.07%
34/43; 72.09%
31/43)
with statistically significant differences(P
<
0.05). The symptom improvement time of research group was shorter than that of the control group
with statistically significant difference(P
<
0.05). After treatment
the serum IL-4
IL-6 and TNF-α levels of research group were significantly lower than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences(P
<
0.05). The incidences of adverse drug reactions of research group and control group were respectively 16.28%(7/43) and 6.98%(3/43)
the difference was not statistically significant(P
>
0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of ornidazole sodium chloride injection in the treatment of BA complicated with infection is remarkable
which can promote symptom improvement
increase bacterial clearance rate
relieve body inflammation and improve pulmonary function
with high safety.
