Effects of Acupoint Application Combined with Modified Liumo Decoction on Recovery of Gastrointestinal Function in Patients with Hip Fracture
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the treatment effects of acupoint application combined with modified Liumo decoction on recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with hip fracture. METHODS: Totally 120 patients with with postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction after hip fracture admitted into this hospital from Apr. 2019 to Jan. 2021 were selected to be divided into the control group(60 cases
conventional treatment) and the study group(60 cases
acupoint application combined with modified Liumo decoction) via the random number table. The therapeutic effects of two groups were observed
and changes of inflammatory factors and gastrointestinal function indicators were compared between two groups. RESULTS: The total clinical effective rate of the study group was 96.67%(58/60)
significantly higher than that of the control group 76.67%(46/60)
the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment
the levels of serum interleukin-6
serum amyloid A and tumor necrosis factor α in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group; the levels of serum gastrin and motilin were significantly higher than those in control group; the first defecation time
the first anal exhaust time and recovery time of bowel sound were significantly shorter than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The incidences of adverse drug reactions in the study group and the control group were respectively 10.00%(6/60) and 6.67%(4/60)
with no statistical significance(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Acupoint application combined with modified Liumo decoction can improve the postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients with hip fracture
which may be related to the effective regulation of inflammatory factors and gastrointestinal function indicators.
