OBJECTIVE: To investigate the application of pharmaceutical consultation platform based on WeChat in obstetrics and gynecology

so as to make sure the safe and rational use of drugs for female patients. METHODS: The pharmacy department of this hospital opened the WeChat public platform from Jul. 2018

and established the pharmaceutical consultation module for obstetrics and gynecology. By Nov. 2020

744 effective consultations had been received. Statistical analysis was performed on the status of the consultant and the content of the consultation.RESULTS: The content of 744 cases of obstetrics and gynecology pharmaceutical consultation on WeChat platform mainly included the usage and dosage of gynecological drugs（ 288 cases

the use of special gynecological dosage forms（ 133 cases

precautions（ 75 cases

10. 08%）

adverse drug reactions（ 67 cases

9. 01%）and drug use during pregnancy and lactation（ 52 cases

mainly related to sex hormone drugs

anti-infective drugs

digestive system drugs and vitamin drugs. All patients had a perfect satisfaction score（ out of 5 scores）. CONCLUSIONS: The pharmaceutical consultation platform based on WeChat in obstetrics and gynecology can provide pharmacy services to female patients quickly and conveniently

which not only plays the role of specialist pharmacists in rational drug use

but also meets patients’ needs for pharmacy services.
