Effects of Kushen Decoction Combined with Moisture Exposed Burn Ointment on Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Integral and Anal Edema Score in Patients with Acute Anal Fissure
OBJECTIVE:To probe into the effects of Kushen decoction combined with moisture exposed burn ointment(MEBO) on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome integral and anal edema score in patients with acute anal fissure.METHODS:Totally 114 patients with acute anal fissure admitted into Jiangbei Branch of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University from May 2018 to Oct.2019 were selected and divided into observation group and control group via random number table
with 57 cases in each group. The control group was treated with MEBO alone
while the observation group was given Kushen decoction based on the observation group. The clinical efficacy of two groups were observed
differences in TCM syndrome integral
remission time of symptoms and anal edema score were compared between two groups.RESULTS:The total effective rate of observation group was 94.74%(54/57)
which was significantly higher than that of the control group(80.70%
46/57)
with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment
the primary symptom score
secondary symptom score and total score of TCM syndrome integral of both groups were significantly lower than those of before treatment
and those of the observation group were significantly lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The remission time of pain and constipation
disappearance time of hemorrhage and recovery time of anal fissure of observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment
the anal edema scores of both groups were significantly lower than those of before treatment
and that of the observationgroup was significantly lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS:The application of Kushen decoction combined with MEBO in the treatment of acute anal fissure can significantly reduce TCM syndrome integral
