Effect of Prescription for Strengthening Resistance,Tonifying Spleen and Detoxicating on Gastrointestinal Motility Disorder,Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor And Cyclooxygenase-2 and Human Soluble Intercellular Adhesion Molecules-1 in Patients with Cancer
OBJECTIVE:To probe into the clinical efficacy of prescription for strengthening resistance
tonifying spleen and detoxicating in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue induced by chemotherapy for colorectal cancer
so as to analyze its effects on gastrointestinal motility disorder
vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) and human soluble intercellular adhesion molecules-1(s ICAM-1) levels.METHODS:90 patients with cancer-related fatigue induced by chemotherapy for colorectal cancer admitted into the First People ’s Hospital of Nantong from Jan.2017 to Mar.2019 were selected and divided into observation group and control group via random number table
with 45 cases in each group. Both groups were given chemotherapy
while the observation group was treated with prescription for strengthening resistance
tonifying spleen and detoxicating on that basis. After two continuous courses of treatment
the scores of cancer-related fatigue
gastrointestinal function
VEGF
COX-2
s ICAM-1 levels
changes of living quality and body mass were analyzed and compared between two groups.RESULTS:After treatment
the body fatigue and total fatigue scores of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05);while there was no statistical significance in difference in emotional fatigue and cognitive fatigue scores between two groups(P > 0.05).The incidence of gastrointestinal adverse drug reactions of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment
the VEGF
COX-2 and s ICAM-1 levels of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group;the total improvement rate of living quality and body mass were significantly higher than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).CONCLUSIONS:The efficacy of prescription for strengthening resistance
tonifying spleen and detoxicating in the treatment of cancer-related fatigue induced by chemotherapy for colorectal cancer is remarkable
which can significantly relieve body fatigue
improve gastrointestinal motility disorder
reduce VEGF
COX-2 and s ICAM-1 levels
promote living quality and body mass.
