Effects of Different Progesterone Therapy on Levels of Peripheral Inflammatory Cytokines,Pregnancy and Neonatal Outcomes in Patients with Threatened Premature Delivery
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the effects of progesterone therapy on levels of peripheral inflammatory cytokines
pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in patients with threatened premature delivery.METHODS: Totally120 patients with threatened premature delivery admitted into Dongguan Donghua Hospital from Apr.2018 to Apr.2019 were extracted to be divided into the progesterone group( received progesterone vagina gel and ritodrine hydrochloride injection
n = 40)
the drogesterone group( received Droxyprogesterone tablets and ritodrine hydrochloride injection
n = 40)
and the control group( received ritodrine hydrochloride injection
n = 40) via different treatment regimens.The pregnancy outcomes and neonatal outcomes of three groups were compared
the serum cytokine levels [C-reactive protein( CRP)
interleukin-6( IL-6)
interleukin-8( IL-8) ] and adverse drug reactions were recorded.RESULTS: The pregnancy outcomes of the progesterone group and the drogesterone group were better than those of the control group
the gestational weeks of delivery were significantly longer than those of the control group
with statistically significant difference( P<0.05).There was no significant difference in gestational weeks and pregnancy outcomes between the progesterone group and the drogesterone group( P>0.05).The levels of CRP
IL-6 and IL-8 in the progesterone group and the drogesterone group after treatment were lower than those before treatment the difference was statistically significant( P< 0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of CRP
IL-6 and IL-8 after treatment between the progesterone group and the drogesterone group( P>0.05).There were significant differences in average birth weight
Apgar score and pH value of umbilical artery blood gas analysis among three groups( P<0.05).The neonatal birth weight
neonatal Apgar score and pH value of umbilical artery blood gas analysis in the progesterone group and the didrogesterone group were higher than those in the control group( P<0.05).There was no significant difference in neonatal birth weight
neonatal Apgar score and pH value of umbilical artery blood gas analysis between the progesterone group and the didrogesterone group( P >0.05).The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the progesterone group and the dydrogesterone group was significantly lower than that in the control group
the difference was statistically significant( P < 0.05)
and there was no significant difference between the progesterone group and the didrogesterone group( P > 0.05).CONCLUSIONS: Progesterone vagina gel and Droxyprogesterone tablets respectively combined with ritodrine hydrochloride injection in the treatment of patients with threatened premature delivery can reduce the dosage and adverse drug reactions of ritodrine hydrochloride injection
decrease the levels of peripheral inflammatory cytokines
and help to improve the pregnancy and neonatal outcomes.And the effect is similar
and Ditrigesterone tablets are easy to take orally and more easily to be accepted by patients.
