Stability of Ginkgo Leaf Extract and Dipyridamole Injection in Three Kinds of Infusion
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the physical stability of finished infusion of ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection within 8 h
so as to provide reference for clinical safety and rational use.METHODS: According to the drug instructions and clinical dosage
ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection was prepared
and physical properties such as appearance
pH
particles and osmotic pressure of finished infusion were investigated after 0
2
4 and8 h.RESULTS: Ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection was the smallest and stable in 0.9% sodium chloride injection. The particles were large and unstable in 5%/10% glucose injection. In terms of osmotic pressure
the osmotic pressure of this drug was the largest in 10% glucose injection
and the osmotic pressure of finished infusion diluted with5% glucose injection and 0.9% sodium chloride injection was closer to that of human body. The changes of the pH in three kinds of infusions were basically the same
and the pH at each time point met the requirements. The physical properties were stable within 2 h after the preparation
and changed sharply 2 h after preparation.CONCLUSIONS: In the clinical use of ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection
0.9% sodium chloride injection is recommended as the diluent for the reduction of adverse events. If the patient has electrolyte requirements
it is recommended to use 5%glucose injection as dilution.Yet 10% glucose injection is not recommended as the solvent. In terms of the time limit for administration
it is recommended to use up within 2 h after drug preparation.
