Clinical Research on Qingresanjie Capsule Combined with Ganciclovir Ophthalmic Gel in the Treatment of Epidemic Keratoconjunctivitis
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the clinical efficacy of Qingresanjie capsule combined with ganciclovir ophthalmic gel in the treatment of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis. METHODS: 90 patients with epidemic keratoconjunctivitis admitted into the Fifth People’s Hospital of Chengdu from Apr. 2018 to Apr. 2019 were selected and divided into control group and observation group via random number table
with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ganciclovir ophthalmic gel
while the observation group was given Qingresanjie capsule combined with ganciclovir ophthalmic gel
both groups were treated for 14 days. The clinical efficacy
TCM syndrome scores
corneal subepithelial infiltrate scores( CSIS)
eyesight and tear lactoferrin( LF)
total protein( TP) and lysozyme( LZM) levels of the two groups before and after treatment were observed
the incidences of adverse drug reactions of the two groups were recorded and compared. RESULTS: The total clinical effective rate of observation group was 97. 78%( 44/45)
which was significantly higher than that of the control group( 86. 67%
39/45)
with statistically significant difference( P<0. 05). After treatment
the eyesight levels of both groups had been improved
the CSIS and various TCM syndrome scores were significantly lower than those of before treatment; after treatment
the eyesight of observation group was significantly better than that of the control group
while the CSIS and various TCM syndrome scores were significantly lower than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences( P <0. 05). After treatment
the tear LF
TP and LZM levels of both groups were significantly higher than those of before treatment
and LF
TP and LZM levels of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group
with statistically significant differences( P<0. 05). During treatment
the incidences of adverse drug reactions of observation group and control group were respectively 4. 44%( 2/45) and 13. 32%( 6/45)
the difference had no statistical significance( P>0. 05). CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of Qingresanjie capsule combined with ganciclovir ophthalmic gel in the treatment of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis is remarkable
which is helpful to relieve clinical symptoms and corneal injury
