Application of Magnesium Valproate Sustained-Release Tablets in the Treatment of Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety Disorder
OBJECTIVE: To explore the application of Magnesium valproate sustained-release tablets in the treatment of bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder. METHODS: Totally 128 patients with bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder admitted into Wuhan Wudong Hospital from Jun. 2015 to Sept. 2018 were extracted to be divided into the control group and the observation group via the random number table
with 64 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Quetiapine fumarate tablets
while the observation group received Magnesium valproate sustainedrelease tablets combined with Quetiapine fumarate tablets. The anxiety status
mental status
curative effects and incidence of adverse drug reactions of two groups were compared. RESULTS: After treatment of 4
8 weeks
the anxiety scale score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group
and the difference was statistically significant( P < 0. 05). After treatment of 4
8 weeks
the positive and negative symptom scale scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group
and the difference was statistically significant( P < 0. 05). After treatment of 4
8 weeks
the total effective rates of the observation group were 85. 94%( 55/64) and 95. 31%( 61/64)
significantly higher than 73. 44%( 47/64) and 79. 69%( 51/64) of the control group
with statistically significant differences( P < 0. 05). The total effective rate of the observation group at the end of 8 weeks was significantly higher than that at the end of 4 weeks
and the difference was statistically significant( P <0. 05). The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the observation group was 9. 38%( 6/64)
significantly lower than31. 25%( 20/64) in the control group
with statistically significant differences( P < 0. 05). CONCLUSIONS:Magnesium valproate sustained-release tablets can significantly improve the treatment effects of patients with bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder
and the combination with Quetiapine fumarate tablets has better curative effects
which can significantly improve the symptoms of anxiety mania in patients.
