Animal Experimental Study on Pharmacodynamics of Xiao'er Zhupo Powder in the Treatment of Col
Objective: To probe into the pharmacodynamics of Xiao’er Zhupo powder in the treatment of cold
so as to provide reference for clinical application. Methods: In view of the symptoms such as fever
cough
phlegm and dyspepsia in children during the process of cold
the symptomatic treatment of Xiao’er Zhupo powder for children was investigated by LPS-induced fever in rabbits
ammonia-induced cough in mice
phenol red excretion method and semi-solid nutrient paste intestine propulsion experiment. Results: Xiao’er Zhupo powder could reduce the ear swelling degree of mice
decrease the temperature ascending range of rabbits
prolong the cough latency of mice
reduce the cough times and tracheal phenol red excretiona
promote the gastric emptyness of mice
and increase the intestinal propulsion rate of mice (P<0.05). Conclusion: Xiao’er Zhupo powder can relieve a variety of symptoms of cold.
