Expressions and clinical significancer of Akt proteins in hepatocellular carcinoma
Objective:To investigate the expression of Akt proteins in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and it’s relation with clinical grading. Methods:Firstly
the mRNA levels of Akt in HCC and liver tissue just around the tumor(LAT)were detected by semi-quantitative reverse transcription and the polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Then
analyzing the expression of Akt proteins in HCC and LAT by Western blot and immunohistochemical methods. Finally
the relation between Akt proteins level and HCC clinical grading was analyzed. Results:The expression of Akt in HCC are much higher than LAT
and there is a positive correlation between Akt proteins level and HCC clinical grading.Furthermore
Akt is highly concentrated in the nucleus of HCC.Conclusion:The over-expression of Akt may play an important role in the occurrence and development of HCC.
