Study on the application of central vein and peripheral catheterizations in the chemotherapy of malignant tumor
Objective:To investigate the application of central vein and peripheral vein catheterizations in the chemotherapy of malignant tumor.Methods:seventy-one patients were randomly divided into two groups
central vein catheterization group(37 cases)and peripheral vein catheterization group(34 cases). Results:The achievement rate of one time puncture for central vein catheterization group was 94.6% and that for the other group was 97.1%
(P>0.05).Medium time of keeping catheter in the first graup were 91 days and the second 5 days(P<0.001).The infection or embolism was not found in the first group
but 64.7% cases were found in the second group. Conclusions:The central vein catheter was safe and could be kept for long time. This catheterizations had higher clinical value on the chemotherapy intensive care and high-nutrition cure of patients with tumor
and improved the life quality of patients
which is quite worthy of popularization.
