Objective:To evaluate and analyze the application value of Acute Physiology and Chronic Health EvaluationⅢ(A- PACHEⅢ)in evaluation of the severity and prognosis of patients in SCIU.Methods:By collecting and sorting out the data of 341 cases of surgical serious patients

the severity and prognosis of patients were evaluated by APACHEⅢ.Results:Making comparison among the different types of diseases

the scores and mortality of cerebral hemorrhage and multiple hurt were high- er than those of the diseases(P<0.0001).There was a significant correlation between the score of APACHEⅢand the actual mortality.The mortality increased remarkably when the score was≥60.The average score of 51 cases in the non-survival group was(76.45±28.32)

while that of 290 cases in the survival group was(39.92±18.0).The state of illness of patient with a chronic disease was critical.The scores and mortality in the emergent operation group were higher than those in the elective operation group and non-operation group.Conclusion:APACHEⅢscore system can be used to evaluate state of an illness and prognosis.It is the basis of medical quality and reasonable application of SICU source.
