The influence of risperidone and conventional antipsychotics on the life quality of the patients with schizophrenia at their recovery stage
Objective:To explore the factors influencing the life quality of schizophrenic patients at recovery stage treated with Risperidone and conventional antipsychotics. Methods:The demographic data questionaire and WHOQOL-100 were used to e- valuate the life quality of the patients with schizophrenia at their recovery stage and to analyze the influencing factors. Results: Multielemen analysis of variance showed that there was significant difference between the two groups with regard to life quali- ty.The life quality in the Risperidone treatment group was significantly higher than that in the conventional antipsychotics treatment group.Multiple factor gradual regressive analysis revealed that the factors influencing the life quality of the paitients with schizophrenia at their recovery stage were sequentially course of disease and drug category. Conclusions:The life quality of the patients in the Risperidone treatment group was better than that of the patients in the conventional antipsychotics treat- ment group
and the course of disease and drug category had prognostic value on life quality.
