Study on liver specific autoantibodies in patients with HCV
Objective:To study the clinical significance of determining serum liver specific autoantibodies in HCV patients.Methods:Hep-2 cells
rat liver tissue
rat kidney tissue and rat stomach tissue as substrates forANA
ASMA
AMA and ALKM were detected by indirect immunofluorescence assay in the serum of 67 HCV patients
32 HAV patients
50 patients with other diseases and 30 normal subjects. Results:The positive rate of autoantibodies in HCV patients were 25.4%
and there was significant difference compared with the other 3 groups( P <0.05).Low titer of autoantibodies was presented in HCV patients
and most of them were ANA.Autoantibodies were significantly associated with age( P <0.05)
but not with gender( P >0.05).Conclusion:HCV infection can induce autoimmune reactions resulting in production of autoantibodies and its titer is helpful for treatment of HCV patients.
