Objective:To observe the effect of hepatic function in hyperthyroidism patients with serum levels of hyaluronic acid(HA)

one including 59 patients with primary diagnosis and not treated with antithyroid drug(ATD)

the other group including 81 patients were once treated with ATD.Results:HA concentration was significantly higher( P <0.05) in the patients without ATD therapy(mean+SD 119.43±107.08 microgram/l) than in the healthy control subjects(78.30±58.44microgram/l).But in the patients with ATD therapy serum level of HA was 108.49±66.94 microgram/l.Compared with the control

which may relate with the immunoregulating action of ATD.
