Investigation of T cell subsets, immunoglobul ins and TNF-α of peripheral blood in schizophrenic patients
Objective:To investigate the changes and clinical implications of T cell subsets
immunoglobulins and tumor necrosis factor - α (TNF- α) of serum in schizophrenia. Methods: APAAP was used to detect T cell subsets and single immunodiffusion was used to detect immunoglobulins and ELISA was used to detect TNF- α. Results :In 41 patients
CD3+ T cell
CD4+ T cell and CD4+CD8+T cell rates were significantly lower than normal controls(P<0.01) ;lgG was significantly higher(P<0. 01) ;CD3+T cell
CD4+T cell
and CD4+ /CD8+T cell rates in patients with positive family history(24/41) were lower than those with negative family history(P < 0. 01)
Both groups had a significant decrease from normal controls(P<0. 05) ; In addition
there was significant negative correlation between CD3+T cell and SAPS( r = -0.34215
P = 0. 0285). Conclusion :There were decreases of immune function in schizophrenics
which was influenced by inheritance and had a trend of becoming severer according to the length of course. The severity of symptoms of the patients had negative correlation with their immunity.
