The dynamic observation of fat load test for persons with fasting normal-TG
Objective: To study blood lipid dynamic response after fat load test in persons with fasting normaltriglyceride. Methods: The lipid metabolism was studied in 58 voluntary persons (TG ≤1.70mmol/L) after fat meal of 63.9g/m2 body surface area . They were assigned to three groups: young
middle-aged and old-aged group
and were divided into two groups: postprandial TG level normal and abnormal groups according to concentration of postprandial 4 hTG、8 h TG and TG-AUC. The sampls were collected at fast and 2
4
6
8 h after fat meal
and their TG
TC
HDL-C and LDL-C were determined. Results: Postprandial TG levels is obviously higher than fasting levels (P <0.001)
but no significant difference (P >0.05) existed in levels of 2
4
6
8h after a fat meal. The TG level reached its peak value at 3.98 h
and was not declined to fasting level at 8 h after fat meal. There are about 10% in each group that the TG levels exhibit maximum at 8 h after fat meal. The TG levels of the postprandial TG abnormal group were obviously higher than those for normal group at each time point (P <0.001) .There was a valley for TC、HDL-C and LDL-C at 2h after fat meal
and a return to fasting levels at 8 h after fat-meal. Conclusion: Some persons with normal fasting TG level exihibit abnormal TG response after high fat meal
and the TG clear-out rate is decreased with the increase of age
