The clinical value of determining D-Dimer in the plasma during preoperation of colorectal carcinoma
Objective: To explore the clinical value of determining plasma D-Dimer concentration in pre-operation patients with colorectal carcinoma. Methods: 86 patients with colorectal carcinoma were studied before operation. All patients’ plasma D-Dimer was determined. The association of plasma D-Dimer concentration with position of carcinoma
clinical stages and pathologic type was studied. Results: The rate of positive results of plasma D-Dimer concentration before operation was 58.13%. The rate and the average value were significantly higher in patients with carcinoma of the colon than those in patients with carcinoma of the rectum. Significant linear correlation was found between D-Dimer concentration in plasma and clinical stages of colorectal carcinoma or pathologic type. Conclusion: It’s useful to determine plasma D-Dimer concentration in patients with colorectal carcinoma and it’s helpful to know patients’ fibrinolysis state. Those results underscore the prognostic value of measurement of D-Dimer concentration in patients with carcinoma. It’s referable to diagnosis
