Evaluation of serum lectin-reactive α-fetoprotein affinity blotting method and the qualitative, quantitative analysis of γ-glutamyl transpeptidase isozyme Ⅱ in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma
Objective To evaluate the effect of Lectin-reactive α-fetoprotein(AFP-L3) and γ-GT Ⅱ on the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC). Methods Lectin-reactive α-fetoprotein(AFP-L3) by means of antibody-affinity blotting method
and γ -GT Ⅱ by qualitative
quantitative analysis were determined in 115 cases
including various liver diseases and gastrointestinal tumors. Results The quantitative analysis of γ-GT Ⅱ had the highest sensitivity and specificity followed by the qualitative analysis of γ -GT Ⅱ and AFP-L3. The combination assay of them could raise the diagnosis positivity of PHC
especially the small PHC and low and negative AFP. Co nclusion AFP-L3 and γ -GTⅡ are two potent tumor markers for PHC. The combination assay of the two markers is valuable in the diagnosis of PHC
especially in detecting PHC patients with small size and negative or low AFP.
